Hello and welcome to the Women’s Weekly Bible Challenge! I’m Lisa Ann Spencer.   Thanks for stopping by.   This week we are beginning part 3 of our study on Thy Kinswoman . Review:   Last week we concluded that “my sister, my spouse” in the Song of Solomon is the same person as Wisdom, Thy Kinswoman .   She offers Israel protection from the deception and seduction of The Strange Woman and her false doctrine.   We uncovered a secret about an harlot; she is not scantily dressed, but covered to conceal her true identity. Today we will dive in to 16  particular verses from 3 passages in the book of Proverbs , where Wisdom is speaking. 📔You might like to write these down in your journal. Hello and welcome back to the Women’s Weekly Bible Challenge ! I’m Lisa Ann Spencer.   In today’s lesson we will continue with our study of Thy Kinswoman which we began last week. Review:   Last week  we did a word study on AUNT, which we found in Leviticus chapter 18.   We established the context of the book of Leviticus first, and we discovered that it is a book of priestly laws spoken by God and given to the children of Israel through Moses.   We know today that we are not under the law (Romans 6:14). Q: If we are not under the law today, why do we need to read or study the law if it’s not written to us?   A: The answer to that comes from Jesus in John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. This is a Bible study Blog that focuses on Women in the Bible .   On of my goals in these studies is to help you understand how to study the Bible for yourself.  I issue a CHALLENGE at the end of each series, which I hope will help you learn how to do word studies, using your concordance. How do we accomplish WORD STUDIES ?   As the name suggests, we begin by choosing a word, or a topic.   Then we use a concordance to find where, when and how that word is used in Scripture.   It may also require finding a related word and searching for those as well.
