Welcome to the  Women’s Weekly Bible Challenge!  I’m Lisa Ann Spencer.   Thank you for joining me today as we conclude  Part 4 of the series on WOMEN TEACHING .   Let’s move forward to the final verse  in apostle Paul’s letters:   Titus 2:3-5   Let’s start in verse 1 and read the entire passage:  1 But speak thou  the things which become sound doctrine:  2 That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. 3 That the aged women likewise , that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things: 4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. Welcome to the Women’s Weekly Bible Challenge!    I’m glad you’ve decided to join me again as we study the Bible today.    This is PART 3 of the WOMEN TEACHING series, where we look at every passage of scripture that addresses the topic of women teaching . Last week we only covered one verse in Paul’s letter to the Corinthians .  You can find that study HERE .   Today we will move on to the next two passages concerning women teaching that are found in the Apostle Paul’s writings:   1 Timothy 2:11-12 1 Timothy 3:2   Let’s get started!   1. 1 Timothy 2:11-12 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach , nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.   We are faced once again with a very emotionally charged passage directed at women.   Again I will remind the reader that CONTEXT is very important!   Let us not  wrest scripture out...
